Miss Abena Appiah, that is the number of times, has participated in various beauty shows eventually to grab the title of Miss Universe Ghana 2014.

Initial the ultimate winner of a beauty contest has been a long memorable dream for the fifth time lucky beauty queen Miss Abena Appiah who has participated in Miss Malaika, Miss Earth 2012, Miss Ghana 2012, and Top Model Ghana 2013.
“Everyone has a dream and for me, I wanted to see on the top of the list in this beauty contest, and now I am Miss Universe Ghana 2014. I am participating in these beauty events for the fifth time in three years, and it’s all because to have the crown said Miss Abena Appiah.
I wanted this crown, so badly that I was prepared to go even through 100 shows to get it,” she explained her zeal to win crowns.
Miss Appiah told Showbiz while she boarded a flight to New York at the Kotoka International Airport last week Wednesday, “When I was a little cute girl, I used to stand and watch in front of the mirror showing for myself as Miss Ghana 2014.
All my life I just wanted to be a beauty icon and now that I have, I am feeling happy and I can go to rest now.”
Miss Appiah won various awards in a number of groups in the shows engaged in and said that had won the titles, and those come with nothing, no platform and no crown.
These are titles that just to recognize her talents, but she wanted the overall title and only then would she will be happy.”
She further explained that she is not materialistic; simply wanted the final because of what comes with it.
Adding, “I want to be able to influence my civilization positively so I thought gaining that title will help me push my agenda of creating awareness on Ebola.”
She further told, “I wish all Ghanaians to work hard, trust in them, and they should not allow situations stop them for as long as they live, their thoughts are still valid.”
