Kevin-Prince Boateng is a suspended Ghana midfielder, who has said that it is fact that South African late President Nelson Mandela wished that I should marry to his daughter.
According to the sources, Boateng was a part of Ghana’s 2010 World Cup team who also finished at the quarter-final stage.
As the iconic African great pulled no punches when he expressed the Las Palmas midfielder to marry his dear daughter.
He told the media that, “Fortunately he broke the ice block because you just stand there. I think it was the World Cup and all the people were calling me ‘David Black-ham’ and were getting crazy for me. At this time, I was like a kind of star.”
“Meanwhile, we were going into the room when we heard, ‘Hello … hello … hello.’ Nelson Mandela shook my hand, pulled me towards himself and said that: ‘My daughter wants to marry you.’ I replied: ‘Sorry I already have a beautiful girlfriend.
According to him, ‘No, no I have others, some more beautiful.
“Everyone there was laughing at this. The pitiable thing is that we couldn’t take his pictures because the flash hurt his eyes so I only have the one picture…and it doesn’t even look like me,”
He remembers how he got the chance to meet the former South African president.
“It’s really hard to define,” remembers Boeteng that, now he is playing for Las Palmas.
“It’s just joy. Nelson was in prison for 27 long years just because he tried to stand up for his rights and he sits there in jail with calm and has no anger inside. Indeed, he was a great man.
Although, “he should be angry with the whole world, but he wasn’t. He’s calm, just as there in his little seat only saying hello to everyone. He makes you feel calm. He was really a shining star. It’s like a movie and It’s like an angel sitting there.”
