Fate of the Furious
The eighth movie in the franchise – Fate of the Furious has not only topped the box office but has also broke an international record for the first time.
On Easter Weekend – the movie racked $532.5m world-wide breaking a global record in the way to the top. Importantly, the opening of the movie has beaten Star Wars: The Force Awakens in biggest debut realm.
However, it hasn’t done much business in US as compared to their last movie in the franchise Fast 7, which earned $147.2m in US takings where they accumulated only $100m from their latest movie.
Nonetheless, the deficit was compensated by the worldwide takings of the movie.
