The popular fashion designer, Elikem the Tailor criticized the female actresses for wearing messy dresses at the grand function of, VGMA.
According to him, the outfits of celebrities at the Ghana Music Awards red carpet were too ‘flamboyant.’ His statement is present as below:
‘There was a bit of misplacement when it came to dresses and what not but I think there were too many over showy looks. There were red carpet gowns and they were okay somehow for the event but they were too flamboyant.’
He mentioned the big puffy things on shoulders, feathers flying all over the place, long veils that covered the whole place.
He designed dress for himself, for gospel musician Nacee, dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, and highlife musician Kumi Guitar.
The designer opened his views during show conducted by the fine journalist, MzGee. He also advised female celebrities to follow simplicity.
Well its reality that some of female celebrities were bashed for their appearance on the red carpet. Social media fanatics widely shared images of some of the celebrities, comparing them to objects. The actresses also received bad comments over the dressing choice.
