                                                     Comedian, DKB

The standup comedian of Ghana, Derick Kobina Bonney famously known as DKB apologized to all Ghanaians who were offended by his comment that, ‘Ghanaians don’t have common sense.’

He explained that some media people disrespected Ghanaian comedy on air and online over its achievements and he responded to them. But his response was misconstrued to mean he was talking to the whole country. It were specific media houses he was referring to; that if they still don’t find them funny and willingly destroying  Ghanaian comedy after all they have achieved which they’ve seen and heard then they don’t have common sense.

Further he admired Ghana people and also admired their contribution towards the comedy field. His words are mention as below:

‘I am never in the position to say Ghanaians don’t have common sense. I admire Ghanaians a lot and if it hadn’t been for their support for comedy, the industry wouldn’t be where it is today. Without them our works would not be here.’

He apologized to everyone who deliberately misconstrued his comment and he added that he is still focused on keeping Ghanaians entertained.

Well now it’s up to Ghanaians how they will treat his statement.
