MzVee
The queen of dancehall music, MzVee enlisted her top most favorite rappers of Ghanaian music industry.
She said that her top most favorite rappers are EL, Tee Phlow, Sarkodie, Kojo Cue and Okyeame Kwame. The ‘Daavi’ hit-marker commenting on critics who doubted she deserved Artist of the Year nomination at the recent VGMAs listed her accomplishments.
Read her words as below:
‘This is my fifth year in the industry and I have three albums to my credit. I have done concerts and toured a lot. I worked with the World Bank and working with UNICEF now. I have collaborated with international acts. I have been nominated for BET Awards twice. I have been nominated for uncountable awards and I’m still working. I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you feel I did not deserve it, thank you.’
Further in interview she thanked Shatta Wale for choosing her. She said that, ‘Thanks to Shatta for choosing me as his best female dancehall act. Shatta Wale is my brother from another mother.’
Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda better known by her stage name MzVee, is a Ghanaian Afro-pop, dancehall and R&B artiste. Her award-nominated debut solo album features several hit singles including Borkor Borkor, Natural Girl and Dancehall Queen.
