Ghanaian highlife artist, Dada KD
Ghanaian highlife artist Dada KD full name Dada Kwaku Duah, has recently revealed that music is preventing him from getting married. He says that music demands a lot of time and energy. However, he is hopeful that he will get married at the right time. He also said that he has to get a lot of things done in his life before taking the decision of getting married as it is an important decision to take.
The highlife artist was being interviewed by the host Nana Romeo on Ayekoo Ayekoo, where while talking exclusively about his relationship he said, ‘I am not planning to tie the knot soon but I will marry sooner or later. I would prefer not to marry and cheat on my wife thus I have to wait for the right time and do whatever I am doing now before I get married’.
While speaking about making money in the music industry, Dada KD revealed a bitter reality that his fellow musicians have to do work in any other field in order to live a contented life.
He said, ‘If you are a highlife artist in Ghana just like me, it shouldn’t stop you from doing music of any other genre. You can extend your wings to different genres and there is a possibility that you will get good income. If you confine yourself to only one genre, it won’t help you. Music is not a joke or something and artists must be aware of that’.
In the end, Dda KD said, ‘I have to say something to my fans to expect a hit single from me before the end of 2017. It won’t be a highlife song however it will be hit’.
