The king of comedy, Derrick Kwabena Bonney aka DKB revealed the reason behind the loss of NDC in general elections of 2016.
He stated that the world famous song Onaapo was the reason behind their loss. It’s quite shocking because Onaapo presented NDC in general elections very well. However he made that assertion that the NDC shouldn’t have chosen “John 3:16” as their battle cry.
Read his words as below:
‘John 3:16″ was repeated consistently throughout the “Onaapo” song and was used by NDC stalwarts on various occasions during the electioneering. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’
DKB said the NDC should have used John 10:30, which reads ‘I and my Father are One’, and that would have won them the elections.
DKB asserted that members of the NDC do not attend to church and take time to read their Bible and thus don’t know how to understand Bible.
The Onaapo song was composed by Ghanaian gospel musicians, Dee Aja and Nacee for the National Democratic Congress as a campaign song.
