Ghanaian well-known rapper and music maker, EL has finally talked about the recent BET nominations by saying that all the nomination were a part of a pre-planned set up. He also revealed that he was also expecting to get the nomination in the BET Awards 2017 because if he could win the ‘Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ then why not BET Awards?
As indicated by the ‘KOKO’ hitmaker, he was expecting to win the ‘Best International Act for Africa’ on the contrary to this, he didn’t even get the nomination. Because he wasn’t aware of the secret strategies and procedure behind the nominations, which he found out pretty shocking later on.
EL was exclusively interviewed by the host KMJ on ‘Sunrise Hitz’, where he said, ‘I was expecting a nomination however I wasn’t aware what the procedure was. I thought the talent would have been the merit. Now, I have realized that there is an exclusive association between coordinators of the awards and the artists’.
He included that, ‘For now, I have finally learned something. If I had known when I had won the Artist of the year I had to make connection with a few contacts, I would have re-considered it. I would have definitely not gone for it. For the rest of my music career until I will do music for my fans I will do well. Anyway, your talent ought to be enough’.
