Ghanaian self-acclaimed dancehall act, Shatta Wale
Ghanaian numerous awards winning dancehall artist, Shatta Wale has recently revealed that he will present the honor key to Worcester that he received in the United States, to President Nana Akufo-Addo, right after getting back to Ghana.
Shatta Wale is in the US for his much awaited shows and he is lucky enough to get the keys from the Mayor of the City of Worcester in Massachusetts, Joseph Petty, because of his commitments to the art industry through his music. The Key to Worcester also represents him as a free man in the city.
However, in a recent exclusive telephone interview Shatta Wale has expressed that he will present the keys to the Ghanaian President, as he got the key amid his governance. In return he will ask the president to make the Ghanaian Entertainment Industry internationally acclaimed by opening new sectors.
The ‘kakai’ hitmaker said, ‘With the key I have. It’s my responsibility to present it to our leader to express my gratitude to him that under his administration I have gotten something in the name of Ghana so I want him to open up our industry for us’.
He included that, ‘Our industry is full of some amazing and super talented people but media has painted us dark. Media is literally killing the industry outside Ghana. Here in America, people love me. They think I am so cool and what they see on media is totally opposite’.
