Ghanaian well-known highlife artist, Bisa Kdei was exclusively interviewed by the host Anita Erskine, where he talked about his music career and his famous songs like ‘Mansa’. When the host asked him about his inspiration in the music industry he revealed veteran highlife artists have been his main inspiration since childhood.
The ‘Brother Brother’ hitmaker told the host that however he is not all that old, he grew up listening to the highlife music, for example, the late Paapa Yankson. He also said that the veteran highlife artists are the main reason behind why he chose this genre.
Bisa Kdei expressed that, ‘I grew up with high life music, I grew up listening to my favorite artists like Paapa Yanskon among others. I took motivation from veteran highlife Musicians. Now my fans are my real support, they inspire me and old highlife artists inspire me a ton, however I’m young and energetic, it has recently come to me. I go to the studio, feel the beat and toss myself in’.
