One of the most controversial Ghanaian artists, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly knowns as Shatta Wale in the Ghanaian Music Entertainment has finally announced the year of his official retirement. He has revealed that he is set to resign from the music scene in 2020.
Shatta Wale was exclusively interviewed by the well-known host Delay on the Delay show, where he revealed that his is going to reign the music industry as a dancehall king till next three years.
The ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker said, ‘My enemies predict that Shatta will fall quite soon and that is a huge lie because it’s not going to happen. However, the good news for most of my rivals is, I have told my director that I have to resign by 2020. With every one of the contentions, I want everyone to understand this person (Shatta) has a future’.
As indicated by Shatta Wale, he neither misuse nor a brag about his fame. He said, ‘The forerunners didn’t instruct the youth well. I don’t boast but whenever I get cash from any source, I don’t care about where I’m spending it. I ensure I search for the right things for my vocation. Gone are the days when artist sits on TV and boast about things they don’t have. That is the reason I put my name on each car I buy. I am exploiting what I have now and my fame’.
