Ghanaian numerous award winning dancehall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known as Shatta Wale in the Ghanaian Music Industry, has won another prestigious award and we are not surprised. He has won ‘Artiste of the Year – Africa’ award at the just finished African Pride Awards 2017. The ‘Kakai’ hitmaker is also known as the dancehall king because he is the one of the very few Ghanaian artists who is representing Ghana across the borders.
The African Pride Awards 2017 was held on the 13th of August, 2017, Sunday at the Grand Ballroom at the Montcalm, England. They are also known as The People’s Choice Awards, the main purpose of the awards ceremony is to honor and celebrate Africans who have brought positive change through art in the Africa and continuously doing it.
The well-known host Eddie Kadi hosted the show and nineteen different artists and celebrities brought home awards.
