Okyeame Kwame foundation organized with MDS Lancet Laboratories undertakes a twelve-monthly hepatitis b showing and vaccination project in a moment to hit out the disease out of Ghana.
Six years before, when it was beginning, the task was screened and vaccinated just about 7000 people across the length and breadth of the country.
From the 26th of July to the 1st of August, this year marks the 7th edition and is slated to take place in Kumasi.
Okyeame Kwame stated in a contact with media that fighting hepatitis is my great pleasure because in my opinion, it is our responsibility to preventing it as a citizen of Ghanaian.
He further explain that in all of my activities, when I am on this noble way, then nothing fulfills me more than that. I also believe that I have much more to do in the country that grow me up. So as a responsible person of the society, I am encouraged and enthused to get on this mission to save lives.
Okyeame Kwame reported that the expectation for this year’s project is too high as the last few years have chalked the massive success.
He publicized that as this decides the success of the project, he considers over definite questions.
Okyeame Kwame retorted that we will be able to screen a thousand people again. He questioned that, Are we able to reduce the occurrence rate from fifteen? Will our actions make people try to find the clearness about hepatitis b from their doctors?
The theme of this year 2015’s project is ‘Lets kick hepatitis out of Ghana’ and at Kumasi, a chains of programs have been sketched to embrace the occasion.
