Hanks Anku
Actor Hanks Anku is a famous Nigerian actor. His real name is Hanks Anku. Yesterday a film company was shooting a movie titled’ Night Scenes from Ghana’ on the Spintex Road in Accra without authority and have been under arrest by the police for causing fear and terror.
Passengers using the road on hearing firings and got terrified and quickly wrong side up, making a disordered scene on the road.
As the scene of the movie showed a robbery, pedestrians frightened and run for shelter to take cover.
In an exchange of fire, the police were called in and performed professionally to stop what could have resulted, which could have controlled to the death of many people.
Famous Nigerian actor, Hanks Anuku was included in those who were arrested. Producer of the movie, George Adu Badu, Joseph Heisk, Elu Heaka Mensah, Ivy Bentum and Adjetey Roberta.
The Accra Regional Police Commander ,Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCOP) Christian Tetteh Yohuuno explain that about 3.00 am the police control Room received a sequence of phone calls that a gang of armed robbers had congested a section of the road, gunfire and robbing drivers and other road users yesterday.
He expressed that police patrol teams were forwarded to the scene only to discover that the suppose gang was a crew of film production company known as ‘The Rabel Entertainment. They were using rubber pistols, firecrackers, toy machine guns to shoot a movie.
He further stated that these people have not any permit from authority and went ahead to intentionally block public way and delay the free passage of persons and means of transportation as well as causing fear and terror.
According to him, the police is not in contradiction of film production in the country but could not allow acts likely to circumstance the opening of peace and settlement public defense and safety.
