Mourning Stonebwoy has tried to cheer up the Ashaiman flood children. For this purpose he and books for Boots together run a campaign for drying tears and healing wounds.
BET Award winning musician, Stonebwoy and Books for Boots will on Saturday start up the biggest soccer and educational event to hit Ashaiman.
The theme of this event was ‘ Drying tears and Healing wounds’ which is geared towards encouraging the children of Ashaiman and its surrounding area after the disastrous flood of June 3 that hit Accra.
On this Saturday, 61 days will be mark of that mourning event. In the result of that event, several parts of Ashaiman were effected. And so on, Books and Boots will use this event to cheer up the children of Ashaiman.
Reading Trainers from different backgrounds will be present including, Ecstasy Stephen Appiah, Miss Tourism Ghana (2014), Ex- Black Stars skipper, Belvy Naa Teidy Ofori Kalybos, and many more.
Children of Ashaiman flood were encouraged to read in groups and also read alone when they are at home and will be rewarded with jerseys, t-shirts, footballs and books.
Rotary Club of Airport, Ghana Volunteers Brigade, Allsorts, One Ghana and many partners together including in this event.
According to the young star, he is doing all this because his mother would have wanted.
In the meantime, following the sudden death of his mother after a short illness, Stonebwoy has confirmed that he will attend and read to the children as promised.
