Stonebwoy and Kalybos
Stonebwoy is the Award winning dancehall musician. He treated hundreds of children to reading and singing periods as the Books and Boots train hit Ashaiman.
The Ashaiman naturally and bring up dancehall act. He used up a number of hour cooperating with children. These children were taken from different communities. These children were affected by the devastating floods of June 3rd, 2015.
The culture of education amongst Ghanaian children especially after school hours has become a most important cause of worry for education shareholders.
The main purpose of Books and Boots is to attract children to read in small groups and on their personal using football as the main attraction.
When Stonebwoy visited a Books and Boots event in Nima after that he proposed Ashaiman for treating the children.
Before this event, a few days ago, Stonebwoy lost his dear mother after a short illness. which was a great loss for him but in spite of that he insisted that his time with the children must go ahead.
The children were preserved to ways from books such as the Pot of Wisdom’, ‘Kwaku Ananse, ‘What Makes Day and Night’ and‘Ant Cities’
For this event, All Sports Ghana contributed footballs, The Rotary Club of Accra and Airport branch donated hundred assorted books for reading and fifty T-Shirts for the children.
Other contributions were five cartons of yoghurt which were donated by the Holbrook-Smith family of Ashaiman and four cartons of Tampico from Ebony and Ivory Productions. The event was also supported by One Ghana and the Ghana Volunteers Brigade.
These two singers had tried to delight the children with performances of some of hit songs and encouraged them to sing along.
Rotary Club members took turns explaining the insides of stories read by the children. The next Books and Boots episode is scheduled for September 2015.
