Volta musicians need to work carefully to find policies to increase their share of the local and international music market, Regional Director of the Centre for National Culture Mr Emmanuel Quao, said.
On Friday in an interview with Ghana News Agency, he stated that the music scene is complex, but stated that those challenges are attainable.
Mr Quao supposed in actual fact that musicians in the region are coming to relations with the current generational change.
According to him it should be possible for one to be distinct but however move with the times.
Mr Quao advised that the musicians in the region develop networking and draw knowledge from the masters and mistresses on the production series.
Mr Quao has a long experience in the showbiz of Ghana, stated that staying relevant in music making is a vast challenge and the hemmed-in methodology would not attain results.
According to him, the youth who is interested in music, they should be inventive, adaptive and spirited.
Mr Quao inform the media that theatre complex started in the 1990’s and now houses the regional offices of the Centre for National Centre (CNC)
He further stated that work on the theatre is 60% complete and the project has been on and off.
He said that the contractor and the consultant are on site and the building could be completed with a little more effort.
He expressed that the capacity of the theatre is about 1,500.
He stated that the CNC is alive to its core job of promoting culture from district to national levels regarding the culture scene but is being limited by multi-faceted problems.
Mr Quao wished that government distributions of funds to the CNC would be regular.
He said CNC has the technical dimensions to affect the society through drama and other forms of productions on national problems, such as health, malaria control and communicative change needs.
