Actress Nana Ama McBrown said that I don’t like this name “Kumawood”  which over the years has become the name of brand for movies inc

She said, I  feel proud of the Ghanian movies and especially when people say Kumawood movies. I liked so much because the movies are our own mother language, she said.

Nana Ama McBrown noted that the Kumawood movie organizer even win the award, recognized movies makers from Volta Region and Northern Region so the movie industry should be the name changed.

While she was speaking on FM radio about the Kumasi movies that’s why these are not the premiere on showbiz.

Nana Ama said that I  feel very proud if the local and English movies is premiered at the silver bird cinema and make 80% of these movies in the future.

Moreover, she said the main reason of local movers are not premiered is because the movie maker are working with careless and are done in a hurry.

Nana Ama challenged that she works for the local movies and try to satisfy their audience is the main focus.

Now she sure that the doors will open for the local movies to be shown at the Siverbirds Cinema
