Grace Omaboe
A Ghanaian showbiz icon, Grace Omaboe, popularly called Maame Dokonu.She is Talk show presenter and proprietress of Peace and Love.
Maame Dokono expressed in an exclusive interview with the media news made it known that she dislikes to see women and children in difficulties.
“I hate dishonest, what I don’t like is to see somebody overpowering another person, I dislike to see people grieve, I hate to see women in pain, I don’t want to see the poor and the helpless suffer.
Grace Omaboe is an actor, known for Kwaku Ananse and Children of the Mountain.
Although she is an excellent actor, Grace Omaboe has also been one of the loyal advocates of women and children’s constitutional rights in Ghana.
She’s been at it for more than 10 years. Her radio and TV programs have named and shamed pedophiles, rapists, wife beaters, runaway dads, child addicts and basically anyone whose criminal deeds harmfully effect the children.
Maame Dokonu, was a former faithful member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).Cause of some disputes, she decided to leave the party.
She expressed in her statement, ’I hate to see people cheated, I hate to see politicians deliver promises and flop to justify”. She stated that her desire to help the weak and poor was her inspiration to go into politics and however she unsuccessful on two efforts. She further stated that her spirit is not broken.
Peace and Love Orphanage has now been converted into a school with a population of 250 children still run by Maame Dokono.
