MTV is going to give ‘Video Vanguard Award’ 2015 to Kanye West with the VMA’s highest honor, for his career spanning the ground breaking songs or videos, the legendary VMA performances, and the continued impact on art, fashion, music and culture, this award would be presented through the live telecast of the ‘MTV Video Music Awards’ of 2015 on August 31, Monday at 2 am.
MTV has also announced that Demi Lovato, Pharrell Williams, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, A$AP Rocky Tori Kelly and Twenty One Pilots would be performing at the awards show, along with disclosed previously performer the weekend.
This MTV Video Music Awards show will come on air live across the whole Africa on the MTV, DStv channel 130, from the ‘Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles’, on August 31 Monday at 2AM and official pre show starts at 1 am, the primetime simulcast takes place on the MTV Base on the same day or date at 7 pm.
Kanye West in his complete career has blended so many musical and visual artistry to powerful effect, from his trilogy of videos for ‘Jesus Walks’ to the mind bending animation of ‘Heartless’ to the arresting imagery of ‘Bound 2’, he has pushed his boundaries and introduces something unique with every successive video.
West has joined the prestigious list of past ‘Vanguard’ recipients with super stars Michael Jackson, Madonna, Guns N’ Roses, Peter Gabriel, Beastie Boys, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Beyonce.
This MTV 2015 VMAs would feature by ‘Miley Cyrus’ as a host, and more performers or presenters would be declared at upcoming date.
