President John Dramani Mamaha stated that he enjoys watching Akan movies when he is travelling outside Ghana some days ago. Akan Movie Stars welcomed the John Dramani Mamaha’s comments.
In an exclusive interview with media, President John Mahama revealed that he enjoys watching local movies which mostly feature Lil Win and Agya Koo and other movie stars.
The President‘s comment has created much cheerfulness in most of the movie stars in Ghana up making them feel that their works are being familiar by the first nobleman of the world.
The Hilarious actress is the one of the stars who feel appreciated with the President’s comments.
According to Matilda Asare, they thank God that their hard work has been recognized by the president.
Sharing her emotions on live media entertainment, Matilda Asare stated that she is happy but appealed on the president not to only admiration them but slightly support them economically.
“We are much happy about the president’s appreciation, but we are not pleased about the name ‘Kejetia Hollywood’ he gave to us’’Actress Ama Boahemaa is popularity known as Mama Kali also appealed to the president to arrange a dialogue with them in one of his relaxation time.
Outspoken actor Nana Osei Kwame Obrempong on the same show supposed that the president should not heap lip facility on them but should reasonably spend in the film industry.Nana Kwame expressed that they need more funding from the government to bear the industry. “You can’t use only your mouth to admire us, as a minimum there should be some amount of money to support us”.
He confronted President Mahama to distribute funds to support the downfall industry to show that he really enjoys their films.
