George Williams is the old-timer Ghanaian actor.He stated that the Ghanaian movie industry is rather getting worse, conflicting to the concept that it is growing.
In an exclusive interview with a media, actor Williams’ view, which is shared by many other veteran actors and actresses, was reverberate that;
The man, kindly talk about to as Mr. Addison following his role in the popular 90s series, Ultimate Paradise, is mostly bothered by what he calls exciting prominence on ‘juju’, enchantment or superstition which has become the major theme for most nearby created films in later years.
“I see it to be quite honest as wickedness. That is what it is. The statistic of it is that they like to make juju films and that type of thing.
He expressed that the fact is that we are declining. We are going back to the time where they had cinemas and not films. When the movies came; there was no dialogue; it was the time of Charlie Chaplain and that is where this thing is going into now because we have an entire allocation of juju films and the enjoys which are as far as am concerned diabolical. They are not meant talking about”.
Appropriately mentioned to as the grandfather of the screen in Ghana, he is one of the known faces to add up with since the start of the Ghanaian Movie Industry.
He is still happy and fit at the age of 86, Uncle George takes place his career in 1952 with stage acting and theatres.
A few years later, he hit the screens with his first top role in the movie Genesis Chapter X.
Possibly his biggest development was when he played Mr. Addison in the popular 90s TV series Ultimate Paradise.
