Beyoncé becomes highest earning musician

Beyoncé Knowles has jumped to No. 1 spot of Forbes Highest paid woman in the music industry with estimated earnings of $115 million, doubling the figures compare to previous year. Last year she earned $53 million and spotted on No. 4.

And major credit of this achievement goes to her world tours and performances. During this period she performed 95 shows, Forbes noted. Along with her worldwide tours her self –titled album also enabled her to outclass singers like Taylor Swift, which is renowned for her piles of records but stands on second spot. Her self-titled album released on iTunes in December 2013 and became one of the best sellers of the year.

Taylor Swift spotted on second with earnings of $64 million, her recorded music and endorsements for Diet Coke, Keds and CoverGirl.  Pink came in on No.3 with $52 million while Rihanna ranked fourth with $48 following Katy Perry with $40 million.

Forbes told the calculations were made on the basis of earnings during June 2013 and June 2014, and the data was gathered from sources such as Pollstar, Nielsen SoundScan as well as managers and lawyers were also interviewed to gather info.

Income was recorded from sales, tours, publishing, endorsements and other ventures, without deducing the lawyers and management dues.
