Sarkodie’s History in the Making concert at the Apollo Theatre finished, he came under simple criticism from people who ask for he didn’t make any history.
He, however trusts that he made some kind of history with his performance at the iconic occasion center.
He expressed in an exclusive interview on Touchdown on Live media that, he never demanded to have been the first to perform at the Apollo.
Sarkodie further narrated that I never supposed that I was the first person to perform at the Apollo. I was just saying that the other day it was history for me. If you get a picture prospect with Jay Z and a year later I also get an occasion to take a photo with him, that doesn’t mean because you did it. I didn’t get my significant moment. I have also made history.
I don’t think there’s so much alliteration between Apollo and our spots down here. No problem how you will like to lower grade what is here, it’s still yours and it’s still elegant. If you look at The National Theatre for illustration, it’s nearly the same as the Apollo. I think its way well, no it’s not way better but nearly close to the Apollo. Just that Apollo has a name”.
He was grateful for supporters who got tickets to attend the show.
And I think the intention why people are proud of the Apollo is the way that they sell their tickets. You must to have supporters who are enthusiastic. Generally the tickets are open to all supporters to purchase but with this you need to push. So it’s the hurry to get the tickets that make it feel special to be at the Apollo.
