Actress Sonia Ibrahim is a television broadcaster and model of Akan origin who is presently offering for a television network and is the younger sister of actress Juliet Ibrahim.
New actress on the block, Sonia Ibrahim, defeat fellow Ghanaian performers, Joselyn Dumas and Lydia Forson, to obtain the Best Actress in Africa award at the Nigeria Entertainment Award (NEA) occurred at the Skirball Centre in New York last Saturday.
The occasion presented by Tinsel star, Osas Ighodaro-Ajibade, and Nigerian rap star, Ice Prince, got collected different performers from all over Africa.
With only a small number of movies to her credit, Sonia, the younger sister of actress and musician, Juliet Ibrahim, showed that she was a force to estimate with as she beat the other contestants such as South Africa’s famous Therry Pheto and Okwawa Shanzy.
Sonia obtained the award for her act in the movie, devastated Romance created by her well-known sister, Juliet. The film also took home the Best Movie in Africa award.
Actress Sonia Ibrahim is currently in New York, hoping to take hold of yet another award for Best Backup Actress at the Nollywood Film Critic Awards (NAFCA) planned for September 12 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
Shattered Romance will be launched on October 16, 2015 in Lagos, Nigeria.
