Celebrities condemn Xenophobic attacks in South Africa

People protesting against the Xenophobic attacks in SA

The Xenophobic attacks which started from South Africa have spread all over Africa especially in Nigeria. The situation escalated after some of the videos showing people attacking Nigerians in SA went viral on social media. In return, Nigerians are also destroying South African owned businesses to show their frustration against the odds.

However, celebrities from all over Africa have taken to social media to condemn the horrific Xenophobic attacks. South African rapper, AKA said,”‘We can say “AFRICA UNITE” all we want. We need REAL, PRACTICAL solutions to fight Xenophobia.”

Nigerian artist, Davido said, “If our country good ? Wetin we go find go southy ???” Nigerian artist Burna Boy said, ‘‘And to my Brothers and sisters I am not encouraging any Violence or anything but please PLEASE Protect and Defend yourselves at all times, it may not seem like it but there’s always a way.”

Ugandan lawmaker, Bobi Wine said, “Xenophobic attacks in South Africa are very sad, disheartening and disappointing. They must be condemned by all people of good conscience.”

Ghanaian dancehall artist, Stonebwoy has even recorded an exclusive single to condemn the horrific Xenophobic attacks.
