Bukom Banku
Bukom Banku is a musician, but many people call him Boxer, another says he is a comedian. He says that soon he would become an actor of Ghana. He is popularly known as Bukom Banku, does not mind is his failure to get formal education.
He has revealed that he was disqualified from school because he beat his bad-mannered teacher in his first year at Junior High School.
The event did not only bring his Junior High School education to an unexpected end, but his efforts at getting a formal education too.
This is how Bukom Banku described the incident to MzGee on the Hitz FM Entertainment Week [his ‘broken English’ has not been edited]:
He expresses that I went for school at Accra Royal nearby the James Town Police Station. But me, I didn’t make it to Senior Secondary School. I was done at JHS 1. I did not carry on through because I beat my teacher. My teacher behaves badly so I gave him some bunches and I was thrown out from the school, but I don’t care because I don’t think school can do better for me.
However, he expresses that he’s currently doing everything to confirm his children will attend school.
He also describes his kind of English language as Banacular (a fusion of English and Ga) has new A High Life song titled ‘Anyemi’.
He has confidence in ‘Anyemi’, which talks about double-dealers in society, it will gain him an award next year.
Bukom Banku further expressed that plans are advanced for the shooting of his new movie ‘Aburi Girls’.
He expressed about his upcoming film will be released this year, I’m writing the script. It would feature Ayitey Powers, Atta Chorkor and others from Bukom. Some girls in my region travel to Aburi for prostitution.Bukom Banku also exposed on the show that he is a music freak and Shatte Wale, Screw Face and Castro are his favorite musicians.
He has assured to live up to billing at this year’s Old Skuulz Reunion planned for October, 10 at the independence square with his ‘Anyemi’ track.
