Janet Jackson Unbreakable Takes Billboard 200 Top Spot

Janet Jackson is returning for their album “Unbreakable”. According to Nielsen Music the latest is becoming more effort , her first since 2008’s “Discipline”, lands atop the list with 116,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week, including 109,000 in pure album sales.

With “Unbreakable”, which marks her seventh chart-topping album on the Billboard 200, Jackson becomes only the third act to earn a No. 1 record in each of the last four decades. In addition to “Disclipline”, she previously hit the top spot with 2001’s “All For You”, 1997’s “The Velvet Rope”, 1993’s “Janet.”, 1989’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” and 1986’s “Control”.

Jackson is The Weekend, whose former first placer “Beauty Behind the Madness” jumps from last week’s No. 5 to this week’s No. 2 to 73,000. Drake and Future’s “What a Time to Be Alive”, meanwhile, slips one rung to No. 3 with 65,000. Fetty Wap’s self-titled debut LP followed at No. 4, falling from last week’s top slot with 64,000 in its second week.

Tamar Braxton closes out the top 5 as her new album “Calling All Lovers” starts with 43,000 units, including 38,000 copies of pure album. She last visited the region in 2013, when her “Love and War” debuted at No. 2 with 114,000.

Taylor Swift’s “1989” spends its 50th week inside the top 10, bowing at No. 6 with 38,000 units. Other titles, making up the top 10 are Thomas Rhett’s “Tangled Up” (No. 7 to 32,000), George Strait’s “Cold Beer Conversation” (No. 8 to 32,000), Luke Bryan’s “Kill the Lights” (No. 9 to 30,000) and Don Henley’s “Cass County” (No. 10 to 29,000).
