Zooey Deschanel has finally disclosed her baby girl’s name. The “New Girl” actress told Entertainment Tonight at the NY premiere of “Rock the Kasbah” on Monday, October 19 that she named her daughter Elsie.
Zooey Deschanel is an American actress, singer-songwriter, model and producer. She is a very intelligent lady and she is a full package of talent.
Zooey and her film producer husband Jacob Pechenik picked the name, she has described that her “just liked” it. Zooey was joined by her husband at the premiere and they looked affectionate with one another on the red carpet. Zooey took to Twitter to share a snap of her with her husband smiling together at the event. “At the rock the Kasbah premiere!!!” read the caption.
The pair first met in August 2014, two years after Zooey was divorced from Ben Gibbard. The “500 Days of Summer” actress and Jacob announced that they were expecting a baby in January 2015, and their engagement shortly thereafter. At that time, she told PEOPLE, “Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one.”
In early August, a rep for Zooey confirmed that she gave birth to a baby girl as saying, “I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik, are new parents to a beautiful, healthy baby girl.” The rep also mentioned that the two were officially married in a secret wedding over the summer.
