Dancehall musician Shatta Wale is probably going to face indefinite ban by the organizers of the Ghana Music Awards.
As per media’s report, a decision has been made and must be communicated to the musician and the public soon.
“They surely have taken the decision by now so I believe they will inform us about it in a few days,” a source with years of industry expertise said on Tuesday.
The ‘Kakai’ hitmaker had warned the award scheme against nominating his tracks a few years ago.
While 2015 proved to be a great year for Shatta Wale, there has been a lot of debate regarding his nomination at the Ghana Music Awards because he had always criticized the music body.
Shatta Wale’s dissension with the Charter House started when in 2015; he lost out on a dancehall category award to Kaakie. Afterwards he attacked Kaakie and the company and later recorded a track in which he mentioned that he doesn’t need any award.
