In election 2012 where President Mahama was declared a winner, many Ghanaian celebrities had campaigned for the liberal democratic and liberal conservative party, New Patriotic Party.
Gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong who worked tirelessly and without an agenda for the NPP to get votes for the party has revealed that he did not ask for any amount as a price for the service he had provided.
The award-winning singer said in an interview that he had supported the opposition just because of their policies.
As stated by Great Ampong, the demise of his father hindered in his studies and he couldn’t go to Senior High School so he decided to support NPP candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo because of his policy of free senior high school.
When asked if he will still support NPP during 2016’s general elections, the “Akokofunu” singer replied that he has no regrets that he campaigned for the NPP but he will support any party with policies that could help Ghana and children.
Moreover, he added that he is not holding a card of any political party so he is free to campaign for whoever he wants.
