As per media’s report, he said “politics has not affected my career in any way. I started my music career by singing political songs so I knew what was expected and what would be the reaction of people and it has not changed me.

“The people who like me for what I do still support me and those who don’t like have started understanding the positive impact of my music on democracy,” he said.

As stated by him, his political affiliation changes depending on the economic condition of the country.

While rating the performance of current government, he said that Mahama led administration is not working well and he would be glad if they make any change.

“I am the person who will be glad if there is a change in the current government because they have not performed in a way it was expected by them,” he said.

Hiplife musician A Plus takes a lot of interest in rapping about politics and social issues.

He released an album, Freedom of Speech just before the elections of 2000 in Ghana. The The hit track, Mesuro mpo na merekeka yi o explained how he was terrified about what he was doing and saying, but he still managed to say it under democracy as he dressed down politicians.
