Movie producers of Ghana barely reveal the amount invested in a film, but CEO of KOFAS Media, Kofi Asamoah has uncovered the amount he pushed into his first produced movie “Kalybos In China.”
He is famously called as Kofas, is at a press conference at the Holiday Inn Hotel, to brief the section of media on his new upcoming comedy movie, “Amakye & Dede” in Accra, on Friday afternoon revealed that he spent 45,000 US dollars on the released movie in 2015.
Financial plan for ‘Kalybos in China’ from the production of the movie till the movie hit the silver screen cinemas was about $45,000. That incorporated the trips we made around to film the full movie. The film was shot in Accra, China and Dubia so it was three unique continents, three distinct nations.
Furthermore, he stated the generated profit from the movie. According to Kofas, he made about 38% that is $17,100 interest out the movie “Kalybos In China”.
It was a super good business because we made a profit of around thirty-eight % of what we put in this movie.
However, the movie has already been debuted in 11 cities of Ghana will going to be released online in this April for the public and soon will be available on internet.
He further uncovered the budget for the new movie “Amakye & Dede” of $26,000, the production of which is going to begin on 7th of February, 2016.
“Amakye & Dede” is a funny movie with humorous story in which two childhood friends fall in love for the same girl, which features actors like, Majid Michel as “Dede”, Kalybos as “Amakye” and Ahuofe Patri, KKD, KSM, Apostle John Prah and numerous others. No doubt, it is going to be one of the best productions of KOFAS Media.
