An Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the capture of hiplife artist Wisa, who is standing trial for gross indecent exposure in the wake of showing off his genitals amid a performance at ‘Decemba2Rememba’ last year.

The hiplife artist neglected to appear in court Friday when the case was called compelling the judge, Abena Agyin Doku to issue the bench warrant for his capture.

Wisa’s attorney, Jerry Avenorgbor, who was missing amid the last hearing on January 25, was in court without his client.

A source told the media that after the bench warrant was issued, Wisa later appeared at the court premises after his attorney attempted wildly to contact him.

Jerry Avenorgbor, together with Wisa, went to see the judge yet neglected to persuade her to pull back the bench warrant. The artist, using his counsel’s jacket as a mask, rapidly left the court premises.

Amid the last hearing, the court had given state prosecutors February 5 to give proof that Wisa uncovered his genitals in front of an audience.

The court gave the order after Detective Edward Agyei Odame of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) neglected to present any proof in court Monday when the case was called.

Detective Odame advised the court that he neglected to show any proof, which was a video of the occurrence, in light of the fact that the woman accountable for the proof room where they keep the exhibits was inaccessible.

The rapper, purportedly exposing his genitals whilst performing at the current year’s Decemba 2 Rememba show sorted out by Accra-based FM on Christmas eve.

Halfway through his performance in front of an audience, the artist while squirming his waist behind a well proportioned woman drew down his white boxer shorts which were at that point appearing in his droopy pants and hauled out his genitals, rubbing it behind the woman.

The state was prepared to give proof to the situation when the artist neglected to appear in court.

The case has been suspended to February 12 and the police is relied upon to capture the artist and ensure he shows up in court on the deferred date.
