Ghanaian actress, Bridget Serwaa, has advised her female colleagues in the entertainment industry to refrain from bleaching their skins.

According to the KAFF Award winner, some of the women in the film industry are bleaching their skins, just to look presentable on screen; on the other hand others do it to meet their partner’s requirement.

In an interview recently, Bridget said bleaching is very dangerous for health as it creates the gateway for so many diseases.

“Some women in the industry bleach just to look good on screen. Others do it to please their partners. But one thing is for sure that bleaching is very dangerous to our skin and health. Those who bleach suffer when they get serious cuts. They might see it as good today but I think they must be careful of tomorrow’s effects. I would advise them to appreciate their God-given complexions.”

Bridget Serwaa is one of the best actresses in the industry especially the Twi-speaking movies.

Since entering the industry, she has been the favorite of most movie lovers.

She recently won an award in this year’s Kumawood Akoben Film Festival Awards in Kumasi as the Best Actress Supporting Role (Twi) with the movie, Ensign Aga for the 2015 season.
