Blunt Ghanaian reggae artiste and radio personality, Blakk Rasta, has been appointed a tourism ambassador for Zimbabwe at the nation’s Ministry of Tourism in Harare.
Blakk Rasta, whose genuine name is Abubakar Ahmed, took to his official page of Facebook to make this declaration in a post that read, ‘To Jahaviah be the eminence, I have recently been made tourism ambassador for Zimbabwe… ‘
This honor was presented on him by Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, who celebrated his 92nd birthday throughout the weekend.
Blakk Rasta was one of the visitors who performed at the most recent release of the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) on the 25th of February, and he additionally featured alongside some of Zimbabwe’s greatest artists in a show named “Well Done Bob” to pay tribute to Robert Mugabe.
The Ghanaian reggae artist likewise took time off performing to visit Zimbabwe’s Heroes Acre, where national saints and courageous women are buried to pay homage to late Amai Sally Mugabe, the Ghanaian wife of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.
Back home, Blakk Rasta has been nominated for the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) for Reggae/Dancehall song of the year for his hit song, ‘Serwaa Akoto’ furthermore Reggae/Dancehall artist of the year.
