Mclerk: Shatta Wale deserves nomination in VGMA
Gospel artist, Mclerk has supported recommendations that Dancehall singer, Shatta Wale should have been nominated in the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2016.
As indicated by him, the Hip Hop musical artist seriously deserved to be nominated in the awards scheme for even every category he filed for however board of the VGMA said that awards board has compromised their fairness when they permitted the contention between them and the artist just dominate all the merits of his works, which he has presented and submitted to them.
According to him, this thing (disqualification of Shatta Wale) tells of how ‘selfish’ and ‘unprofessional’ is the Board of VGMA and further more tells of how the board has throughout the years been nominating only musical artist they appreciate for the prestigious annual awards in the Ghana.
Moreover, he said “There had been numerous events the award board have been predictable in selecting couple of specific most loved artist at same categories. It’s some way or another seems very funny to see certain musician getting nominated in each year in the mean time nobody even knows the kind of tracks they are releasing right then and there… they are essentially being biased.”
In spite of presenting his hit singles for nomination in the up and coming annual VGMA, the artist had his works dropped because of the controversy between Charter House and him. But apart from all this, we and all Ghanaians know that he really deserved nominations for award scheme.
Shatta Wale, along with his fans has publicly shown their resentment and anger. His fans even burned down the posters of VGMA.
