It’s been eight months since Blakk Rasta quit radio over an alleged betrayal but he claims that he had set such a standard that the emptiness caused by his exit cannot be filled by any other radio presenter.
The blunt radio presenter and reggae musician told in an interview that he was matchless in his field and has left a legacy that would never fade away even if he doesn’t go back to broadcasting.
“I have always confronted such issues that many others would never have the courage to discuss on a radio show. I am between those few who gave unbiased statements on every issue,” he stated this in a recent interview.
Blakk Rasta, who released a hit track titled “Barack Obama” in honor of America’s first black President, said as much as a few people disagreed to his statements on air, he believed that many other Ghanaians were supporting his point of view on different issues, since he had a large audience.
“I tackled serious issues on gays, legalizing of weed, whacked politicians which I know my listeners admired a lot and wanted to hear more.”
He was certain that no other radio presenter could fit in his programs because he had built a exceptional brand that has developed with him.
“Even though there are many other reggae presenters in Ghana, my name comes first because of my dedicated work and reliability on radio.”
“I receive many messages on my social media regarding my come back on radio and all I tell them is I am returning so soon. My commitment, hard work and the topics I handled is possibly the reason Ghanaians can’t go on without me,” added Blakk Rasta, real name Abubakar Ahmed.
