There are different genres in the Ghanaian music scene like Reggae, R&B, hiplife, Dancehall etc, but some artists have adapted a total different style of music which has ended up in the sudden rise of Afro-Jazz music and an artist who is known in this genre is Adomaa.
In a recent interview, Adomaa revealed how confident and competent she feels to be in the music industry and expects to achieve much more and stay in the public eye because of her exceptional music style.
“I’m sure I’m here to stay in the industry because the style of my music is different and unique and the feedback that I receive from my fans has been great so far. I really believe Afro-jazz is going to rock.”
The young Afro-Jazz musician has captivated the Ghanaian music fans with her greatly produced mashups of famous songs such as Baafira, Adonai, Evolution of GH Music and AdomaaMeetsNija which are successfully trending on social media.
Adomaa revealed that music is a part of her life and whenever she has to say something, she uses her passion for music to speak. “Music has always been my drug and best friend; it’s the only way I communicate whenever I want to say something. Because I’m born in a musical family so music is in my DNA.”
According to Adomaa, because her parents travelled a lot, she had to change schools most often. “My parents moved from one place to another so I went to different schools. I started my fundamental education in Nigeria and later relocated to Ghana, when we shifted here, I continued my further studies at Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast. I then did my tertiary education at Ghana Institute of Journalism, Accra” she said.
Adomaa who is currently under the management of Vision Inspired Music (VIM) Records revealed that though she has studied journalism in and has even served as a journalist, the only thing she wants herself in right now is music.
