Multiple award-winning hip life singer, Czar has disclosed that he is back in the music industry to save hiplife music.
Czar who has recently released a hit song dubbed “Sorry”, was replying to a question regarding how the condition of hip life music is.
Talking to the show host, ‘Mercy Lokko’ hit maker said, “To be honest, at this time, hiplife music is not doing well like it was few years ago. Now every other artist is switching to hip-pop and Afro-pop which is awfully bad”, he noted.
He added, “Nananom, Tic Tac, Lord Kenya, Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Buk bak, late Terry Bonchaka contributed a lot for hiplife, they did so well. Nigerian musicians are the reason our musicians are getting confused with the English language. Now you start singing in English language and it’s automatically considered as -pop or Afro pop which is not right. I’m back to save the hiplife genre.”
Czar is known as Augustine Osei Owusu in real life. His latest song ‘Sorry’ is presently getting enormous airplays. He featured Luther in his song and it was produced by Nero Steger.
