Kwaku Manu
Kwaku Manu, Ghanaian comedian and actor has stated that the Ghana film business is working on a slow pace because some directors of film industry are not willing to learn new dimensions of film making.
In a recent interview, Bob Segger, as he is lovingly called said that the reason why most of the films do not get good response from public is because some of the directors keep on doing the same thing repeatedly.
“Some of the films are excellent whereas others are poorly made because some of our directors do not want to learn. At times, the actors are ready to give their best performance on the set but the directors do not encourage them. These are the ones who have little knowledge about the directing and they don’t want to receive ideas from anyone hence the film business is running at a snail’s pace.”he said.
In response to a question about his best performance he said,”I have worked as a PA before and through that I have had the chance to be behind cameras. To me, my best films are Awareso and Kwaku Saman because those movies got great response from public and they sold me.”
Kwaku Manu is one of the excellent comedians on the screens of most Ghanaians. Throughout his career, his performance has been consistent especially the Twi movies. He has been best paired with most-loved Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin .
