Professor Martin Owusu
Today, 15th of April 206 was a great day because the Board of Governors of the Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah African Genius Awards has coordinated an exclusive event to pay tribute to Prof Martin Owusu, the first beneficiary of the African Genius Award for Drama.
The exclusive event happened from 4.30 p.m. at the Methodist University College at Dansoman in the capital Accra, where the writer, on-screen character, executives and theater researchers addressed.
Highlights of the night incorporated extracts from two of Prof. Owusu’s most praised plays. After that he was accessible for a discussion with the group of onlookers. The Guest of Honor at the event was Justice Sophia Akuffo, Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana.
A few other prominent identities also attended the amazing event. Professor Martin Owusu was among 17 different Ghanaians awarded with the African Genius Award 2014 in acknowledgment of the effect of their works in Arts and Science, and additionally Technology and Innovation.
The Osagyefo African Genius Awards show, started by Mr Enimil Ashon, is a biennial occasion. In the middle of the award years, the Board has founded a quarterly series to empower honorees to impart their contemplations with the people from all over the world.
