Kumawood actors, Kwaku Manu and Lilwin
Versatile Kumawood star actor and singer, Kwaku Manu has revealed the main reason behind why some movie actors are also into music scene along with acting, just to enhance their excitement during performances.
He made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with News reporter on why numerous actors are also into music apart from acting.
He said, he was also more into music and comedy before he became an actor and he became popular in movies.
By further explaining his point, he said, “I started my career from comedy At New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region at that time I was called to perform at comedy shows. However, , I chose to add music to the comic drama to drag out my stage performance and thusly, I understood it was signifying the excitement level of my show.”
He added, he decided to go to Kumasi for lush greener fields and as an entertainer as of now, he discovered his way into Kumawood movies which has presented to him this far. Regardless of his fame at the film front, he has done a reversal to his old affection for doing music. In the year 2011, he dropped his first debut album, dubbed, ‘Saa Kwaku Manu No’, however couldn’t give it a push due to his tight working schedules.
But now Kwaku is back this year with full passion. And, this time he will be doing it with his colleague, Lilwin privately known as Kojo Nkansa. Together, they will be doing his second album, titled ‘Twedie’ that means blow.
