late Nii Odoi Mensah laid to rest in Accra
The legendary actor and previous President of Screen Actors Guild, Nii Odoi Mensah was finally laid to rest on 18 June, 2016 over the last weekend at the Trade Fair Center, La Cemetery suburb of Accra.
The late actor was a senior of Adabraka Presbyterian Church. They organized church service at Adabraka Presbyterian Church for deadly decision on screen character.
Many members of Actors Guild along with Guild Executives and renowned artists paid their last respect to veteran artist. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
The veteran artist passed away at the age of 54 after battling with severe Kidney disease. his final destination was La cemetery, Accra.
The last funeral ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Worthy Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, members of MUSIGA, team members from Creative Industry, Kofi Adjorlolo, Idikoko and Papa Nii and among others.
The Chief Executive Officer of Excellence In Broadcasting Network (EIB) and renowned radio presenter, Bola Ray, in real life known as Kwabena Anokye Adisi had donated $5,000 amount for late actor’s Kidney treatment in China. Other public figures also helped Mr. Mensah for better treatment.
The ace actor died in China on 12 April, 2016.
