The president of MUSIGA, Obour

The legendary musician and current head of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Obour unveiled that there is nothing wrong for musician to produce songs for political party.

The representative of MUSIGA said that music is also a kind of occupation and musician has right to sing for anyone he or she want. He sustained that a musician can put together songs for different political parties since its work.

On Friday, he made such statement when MUSIGA prearranged a peace walk to support dependable and peaceful election in Ghana which will probably occur on 7th December, 2016.

He made such statement to present the theme of peace walk as, ‘The Role of Music in Sponsoring Peaceful and Credible Elections.’

The particular peace walk started from the EFua Sutherland Park through some main streets of Accra and back to the point from where they started. Further he added that the youth should be extra careful and they should not generate any election violence because they have only one Ghana.

As we all know its election season in Ghana. Many artists from acting and musical industry openly endorsed their mentors. Many musicians released their songs to support their loving party incoming elections.
