The self-proclaimed dance-hall champion, Shatta Wale has shared his opinion about endorsement of musicians for their favorite party in upcoming general elections.

In an interview he said endorsement is crazy thing to do particularly when a singer’s followers cut across the political divide. He said, ‘I don’t think it is worth it’.

He believed that when someone is a celebrity and he is type of person that people listen to. In that case choosing specific side means that artist is trying to preach something against what he stand for.

Its election season in Ghana. Celebrities are also working hard to present the party through their acts or songs. Currently the well-known hip-life group, Praye joined the list of those artists who believed that ‘change is coming’.

While disusing the list of those artists who endorsed the leading opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) we cannot forget such names like Lucky Mensah, Wisa Greid, Dada KD, Kwabena Kwabena, Barima Sidney, Leo Mensah, Daddy Lumba, Nana Quame, Cwesi Oteng, Praye Tintin and Praye Tieta.

Many artists also endorsed the chairperson of ruling party, President John Mahama. It’s enough to mention the name of his own daughter and celebrity musician, Mzbel who is endorsing him.
