The top Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur, John Dumelo said, I will visit South Africa despite xenophobic attacks.
His response to the comments posted by a South African on his Instagram page, threatening him not to visit South Africa after the recent xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians.
He quoted, “I will be travelling to South Africa very soon…”
Sometime I feel funny, that if these comments were made by any lady, what should be my reaction then, if she warns me not to visit South Africa or I will be under the xenophobic attacks – strange but will be very funny.
I don’t need any bodyguard to visit South Africa, which is currently the most unsafe place in Africa due to current xenophobic attacks on other nationals by the natives of the country.
This is injustice, which can lead to war between several African countries, said John Dumelo.
Something must be done to stop these attacks; I request to the South African government to take some serious action, before it reaches other nations and they start treating South African with the same way, I think it should be stopped, said John Dumelo.
Many governments have already announced that they will evacuate their citizens as soon as possible.
According to some reports as of 19 April, 2015 – six people have been killed during the attacks and 300 have been arrested.
