The self-proclaimed dancehall champion, Shatta Wale has stated that the Nigerian artists know very well that he is extremely talented and business minded artist of Ghana.
He appeared in an interview and clarified that he is nevertheless threatened nor scared by the Nigerian entertainment artists. Further he added that most of Nigerian artistes respect him a lot.
He gave best plan to make Ghanaian music industry number one in Africa. According to him, there is an urgent need for musicians in Ghana to be united. He said he is resilient and ready to fight for the Ghanaian music industry to gain recognition in Africa and the world.
He also invited few legendary artists to follow his plan. He mentioned the names of artists as:
‘I spoke to a couple of colleagues including Obrafuour, KK Fosu, Tinny, Samini, Sarkodie to promote the Ghanaian music brand.’
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., known by his stage name Shatta Wale (formerly Bandana), is a Ghanaian born reggae-dancehall musician. Shatta Wale changed his name to “Bandana” after senior high school and released the hit track Bandana from Ghana. Besides of all criticism he succeeded to rule the hearts.
