Mzbel
The nightingale of Ghanaian music world, Mzbel stated that the dance-hall musician, Shatta Wale made the year 2016 memorable for her.
She reflected her love for musician and also admired his music. Her official statement is mention as below:
‘Honestly I’ll say the only musician who rocked me was Shatta Wale, but unfortunately he wasn’t nominated in this year’s VGMA.’
She openly declared that besides of award nomination case. Shatta Wale was the only artist dominated in 2016 with several hits.
As a child, she always wanted to be a newscaster. So after SSS, She applied to go to the Ghana Institute of Journalism but she could not because of financial constraints. She also endorsed the candidature former president, John Mahama and the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in general elections of 2016.
Her controversial lyrics paired with her graceful personality on stage have been a major hit with the Ghanaian youth. Hate her or love her, you cannot deny her ability to put forward the worries and burdens of the youths in Ghana.
When her first album was about to be released, she needed a showbiz name and opted for Miss Bel but changed the spelling to Mzbel.
